Now that the NVIDIA RTX 50 series graphics cards have been released and the AMD Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards will soon be released, both have garnered a lot of attention. However, despite their powerful performance, the cost-performance ratio of new products is often not ideal.

In this situation, some people choose to go the opposite route and opt for last-generation mid-to-high-end models. This article will test the gaming performance of the Radeon RX 6700 XT as of now, for those who are interested.

The Radeon RX 6700 XT was released on March 3, 2021, based on the RDNA3 architecture, featuring the Navi22 XT GPU built on TSMC’s 7nm process. It has 2,560 shader units, 160 texture units, 64 raster units, 40 compute units, and 40 ray tracing units. The L2 cache is 3MB, and the L3 cache is 96MB.

The standard operating frequency is 2321 MHz, with a maximum frequency of 2581 MHz. It is equipped with 12GB of GDDR6 video memory, a 192-bit memory interface, a memory speed of 16Gbps, and a memory bandwidth of 384.0GB/s. Its FP32 floating-point performance is 13.21 TFLOPS, with a power consumption of 230W and a suggested retail price of $479.

The main configuration is as follows:

  • Processor: Ryzen 7 7700X
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F
  • Memory: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz
  • Graphics Card: Radeon RX 6700 XT
  • Storage: Western Digital BLACK SN850X
  • Operating System: Windows 10
