Now, Game Science has released a free Black Myth: Wukong Performance Test Tool on Steam, allowing you to prepare your computer in advance.
According to the official announcement, players can download this tool to preliminarily test their PC’s hardware performance and system compatibility for running the game.
Users can customize benchmark settings and preview how the game will perform on their device with different quality settings through a real-time rendered in-game scene.
Additionally, by running the test, players can also help the development team collect potential software and hardware compatibility issues before the official release, allowing the team to further assess potential performance risks and intermittent issues, thus improving the final quality of Black Myth: Wukong.
It’s important to note that the official statement emphasizes that this tool is specifically developed as a test software for Black Myth: Wukong and is not the full game itself, so it cannot be played.
At the initial release of Black Myth: Wukong, the official hardware requirements were provided: The minimum configuration requires Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor, 16GB of RAM, an Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or AMD RX580 8GB graphics card, DirectX version 11, and 130GB of storage space, with an SSD recommended.
The recommended configuration includes Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor, 16GB of RAM, an Nvidia RTX 2060 or AMD RX5700 XT graphics card, DirectX version 12, and 130GB of storage space, with an SSD recommended.
With the minimum requirements, most computers should be able to run the game. Of course, if you want a smoother experience, stronger overall performance is naturally better. Considering the configuration requirements and the newly released performance test tool, if you’ve already purchased the game and plan to play, go ahead and check if your computer’s performance is up to par!
