NVIDIA has now released the long-rumored new GeForce RTX 3050 6GB, equipped with the GA107 GPU. This is a new entry-level graphics card designed to replace existing products such as the RTX 3050 8GB and the GTX 1660 series, offering a fresh option for entry-level gamers.

The new RTX 3050 6GB version differs significantly in specifications compared to the previous RTX 3050 8GB version, with overall specifications being reduced. The CUDA core count of the RTX 3050 6GB has been reduced from 2560 to 2304, a 10% decrease; memory capacity has been reduced from 8GB to 6GB, a 25% decrease; memory bandwidth has been reduced from 128 bits to 96 bits, a 25% decrease, with corresponding bandwidth reduced from 224GB/s to 168GB/s; base/boost frequency has been reduced from 1552/1777MHz to 1042/1470MHz, a decrease of 32%/17% respectively; and the total power consumption has been reduced from 130W to 70W, a 46% decrease.

It can be seen that in addition to the reduction in memory capacity, other specifications including the number of CUDA cores, GPU frequency, memory bandwidth, and total power consumption have also been lowered. Due to the significant reductions in GPU frequency and total power consumption, the GeForce RTX 3050 6GB does not require an external power connector, as the 75W power supply from the PCIe slot is sufficient. Some manufacturers may even offer products with passive cooling designs.

⬆️ RUMORED NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Specs

NVIDIA has not yet announced the official suggested retail price (MSRP), but rumors suggest a price of $179, competing with cards like the Intel Arc A580. However, Gigabyte has already released two models of the RTX 6050 6GB, and it is expected that more manufacturers will launch products in this series.
